Prelude

The idea to take our RV trailer on a cross-country epic trip had been in the back of our minds for years. We knew that it was something we'd have to put-off until we had both retired. Once we had done that, planning for this trip began in earnest about mid 2022. You can see the route that we have settled on. The green circles are the overnight stops we are making, usually at some kind of campground. The red circles are waypoints that I have dropped along the way so that we drive on one road vs. another.

The trip is expected to take three months and we'll travel about 10,000 miles. To prepare for this adventure we decided to upgrade our trailer from a 2016 Lance model 2285 to a 2020 Lance model 2375. It is only one foot longer, but we prefer the slightly different layout, plus it is four years newer and has some nice added features.
