The local NHL team is the San Jose Sharks. We are big fans and have gone to many games!

That's Dan Rusanowsky, the Sharks Radio Announcer, standing behind Owen.

We belonged to a group that had really great season tickets. The seats were located right behind the broadcasters on the second floor balcony. We had a great view, but also got the watch as Randy Hahn and Drew Remenda broadcast their live commentary.
Here they are, interviewing Owen Nolan, former Shark's player and team captain.

We would meet first at the Old Wagon Saloon near the Shark Tank Ice Center for dinner and drinks. We would then walk a couple of blocks to the Tank and continue the beverages there. Fun times!

The Sharks played their first game as an NHL team Team in 1991. They would typically play well through the season and often make it to the playoffs. However, they were often eliminated during the playoffs and only made it to the Stanley Cup finals once in all their years in 2016. We lost to the Pittsburgh Penguins in six games, but it was very exciting to have the Stanley Cup finals in town.

Now our grandson, Maxx, is playing hockey. We go to a lot of his games. If we can't be at the game then we watch it on LiveBarn, a closed circuit broadcast pretty much from every hockey rink in North America.
